You asked us to bring this back so we did. Back by popular demand!
The Griffin Museum is growing and this is your chance to get in on the ground level, literally! We’re building a terrace and walkway in the side yard on Shore Road in Winchester. The new patio will be linked to a brick walkway that connects the patio to the sidewalk.
We anticipate that the terrace will beautify the Shore Road neighborhood, as it is currently unattractive barren land. We also see the terrace as a means to extending our current policy of offering more of our facility to our visitors and the community at large. The terrace will improve the Griffin Museum’s visibility in the community as well as improve the museum’s footprint at water’s edge in tandem to the Conservation Commission’s enhancements around the Judkin’s Pond area on which the Griffin is located. The beautiful brick walkway will be at the new entrance to the Griffin Museum’s Winchester Rotary Terrace.
The Winchester Rotary gave us half of the money for the project and we are raising the money to match their $33,000. We have already raised $10,000 for the terrace and want to raise $10,000 through our brick effort. That’s just 100 bricks!
So, purchase a brick and leave an inscription, in honor of someone, in memory of someone, to celebrate an anniversary of some kind. Give a brick as a gift!
The bricks are standard 4 inch by 8 inch red bricks and can hold up to three lines of text. Each line has a maximum of twenty characters (including spaces). So have fun, make a memory all for a good cause. The price is $125 including inscription. Your gift is tax-deductible.
