We are so thrilled to have Melanie McWhorter of Grenade in a Jar with us in the Griffin Zoom Room for a day of project reviews. Do you have a book project? Looking for feedback? Don’t know who to publish with? Melanie’s extensive experience and consulting can help you move your project to the next level.
The PhotoBook project reviews will serve individuals who are just embarking on their creation process and those who have experience and are hoping to reach new audiences.
The cost of a 25 minute photobook review is $75 for members/ $80 for non-members
5 Reviews will be scheduled on Saturday, June 17th between 10:00 AM and 12:30 PM EST / 7:00 AM – 9:30 AM Pacific
A twenty five minute time slot will be assigned and communicated to registrants one week prior to June 17th.
About Melanie McWhorter, Independent Photography consultant:
Melanie McWhorter is a Santa-Fe based consultant and bookseller. She managed the internationally recognized photo-eye Bookstore until 2016. Melanie then started her own online bookshop and consulting practice where, among other advice, she speaks with artists about bringing their photobook projects to fruition. She has gained a reputation as a knowledgeable photography professional and has been interviewed and written about photography in numerous print and online publications including Lenscratch, PDN, and NPR’s The Picture Show.
Melanie has judged photography competitions including Review Santa Fe 100, Women Photojournalists of Washington’s Annual Exhibition; Daylight Annual Awards, and Fotografia: Fotofestival di Roma’s Book Prize. She has offered advice and reviewed portfolios at Fotografia, Italy; Lishui Photography Festival, China; Photolucida; PhotoNOLA; and Review Santa Fe. Melanie taught workshops and lectured at numerous venues including Mt. Rokko Photo Festival, Japan; PhotoNOLA; and University of North Texas.
All sales are final on products purchased through the Griffin Museum. Participant cancellation of a program/lecture/class will result in a full refund only if notice of cancellation is given at least 2 weeks before the date of the event.
