Paris Photo, in it’s 23rd year, has secured a reputation for being the leading international art fair dedicated to the photographic medium. Juried for the pertinence of their projects and their artistic diversity 190 exhibitors from 31 countries will participate. Host to an array of art book dealers the fair hosts and announces the Paris Photo/Aperture Photobook Awards. Independent curator, lecturer and consultant, J.Sybylla Smith, has exhibited over 80 international photographers in 25 solo and group exhibits in the U.S., Mexico and South America. Smith teaches and writes on her unique concept development curriculum, Concept Aware. She consults with photographers and arts institutions to create written content and produce exhibitions, related programming and events. As an adjunct professor, guest lecturer and thesis advisor, Smith has worked at SVANYC, Emmanuel College, SMFA, Harvard University and Wellesley College.

Please Note: Participant cancellation of a program/lecture/course will result in a refund only if notice of cancellation is given at least 2 weeks before the date of the event. No refunds will be granted if participant cancellation is given less than 2 weeks prior to the activity. Though the Griffin Museum of Photography will make every attempt to run programs as scheduled, the Museum reserves the right to cancel or postpone an event, program, or course at any time. If the Museum cancels a program, we will refund the participation fee to those who have pre-registered and pre-paid.
