Writing About Photography Workshop (Three Sessions)
March 7 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm$150 – $200
Why write about photography? Just as an image frames a visual viewpoint, analytic writing offers context and perspective, influencing how we see. Learn to view and write about photography more critically in this three-session workshop with “What Will You Remember” editors Elin Spring and Suzanne Révy. The first two sessions will meet as a group at the museum. The third session will be a one-on-one, half hour telephone meeting with one of the instructors. Through guided observation, discussion, writing exercises, and individual feedback, you will begin to develop your voice for writing engagingly about photography – including your own. At the end of the workshop, you will have a polished piece of writing and a fresh approach to sharing your views on photography.
This class will meet three sessions:
Saturday, March 7th – 10:00am – Noon
Sunday, March 8th – 10:00am – Noon
And a private half hour telephone meeting TBA with instructor
Class Limit: 12
