What makes a family? How do we define community? These fundamental questions are explored in the exhibition Nuclear Family, which re-imagines the concept of family, expanding our vision beyond traditional norms through the lens of LGBTQIA+ artists.
The term “traditional family” often evokes a specific image: two heterosexual parents and their children. However, family dynamics are more complex and diverse than that single image implies. Nuclear Family challenges this definition by showcasing honest and authentic portrayals of LGBTQIA+ individuals, their families, and their communities.
Featuring a diverse range of photographic and video works, the exhibition presents a compelling exploration of diverse family structures.
All sales are final on products purchased through the Griffin Museum. Participant cancellation of a program/lecture/class will result in a full refund only if notice of cancellation is given at least 2 weeks before the date of the event.
