The museum will be closed Monday June 30 – July 4 to install our Upcoming Exhibitions including our 31st Annual Juried Members and Photobook exhibitions, with solo exhibitions by Alina Saranti and Andre Ramos Woodard opening on Saturday July 5th. Join us for an opening reception celebrating the artists of our new exhibitions on July 11th.
The Griffin Museum is pleased to host an online artist talk celebrating the art of photobook making. Join us from 7 to 8:30pm to hear from artists Lisa Tang Liu & J. David Tabor, James Collins, Tsai Wei Tseng, Courtney Johnson and Shari Diamond.
The Griffin Museum recognizes the importance of photobooks. Distinct from the gallery aesthetic, photobooks offer their own visual language, often conducive to more narrative qualities and seriality than the standard on-the-wall format. We celebrate this form of artistry and want to see the photobooks our community is working on. Juried by Karen Davis, Curator and Co-owner of Davis Orton Gallery, and Crista Dix, Executive Director of the Griffin Museum, our 15th Annual Photobook exhibition will showcase over 40 photobooks books in our Griffin Gallery & Library during the summer of 2025.
All sales are final on products purchased through the Griffin Museum. Participant cancellation of a program/lecture/class will result in a full refund only if notice of cancellation is given at least 2 weeks before the date of the event.
