In this evening educational event, Ms. Swanson will share her advice on selecting and prioritizing Reviewers with whom you would like to meet, and strategies for effectively introducing yourself and your work to industry professionals in a virtual review environment.
Ms. Haas and Mr. Foley will share their experiences as Reviewers having met with photographers online, with advice about meeting you and your work in a virtual setting.
Lastly, Ms. Ng will share her experience being reviewed at multiple online portfolio reviews during the pandemic, having successfully developed professional relationships from such initial meetings.
Time will be reserved for questions with each of the speakers.

About Karen Haas
Karen Haas has been the Lane Curator of Photographs at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston since 2001, where she is responsible for a large collection of photographs by American modernists, Charles Sheeler, Edward Weston, Ansel Adams, and Imogen Cunningham. The Lane Collection, numbers more than 6,000 prints. Haas received her MA from Boston University and held various curatorial positions in museums and private collections, including the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, the BU Art Gallery, and the Addison Gallery of American Art. Her recent exhibitions include, Gordon Parks: Back to Fort Scott, Edward Weston: Leaves of Grass, and Bruce Davidson: East 100th Street. Publications include, An Enduring Vision: Photographs from the Lane Collection, Common Wealth: Art by African Americans in the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, Ansel Adams, and The Photography of Charles Sheeler: American Modernist.
About Michael Foley
Michael Foley opened his eponymous gallery in the fall of 2004 in New York after fourteen years of working with notable photography galleries including Fraenkel Gallery, Howard Greenberg Gallery and Yancey Richardson Gallery.
The gallery has since been invited to participate in over thirty international and national art fairs including Paris Photo, Pulse, AIPAD, VOLTA, and the London Art Fair. Gallery exhibitions and artists have been reviewed and written about in numerous publications including The New York Times, The New York Times Magazine, The New Yorker, Artforum, Modern Painters and ArtNEWS.
Foley is the founder of The Photo Community, which offers classes and commentary on contemporary photography. He continues his interest in education by serving on the faculty of the School of Visual Arts and the International Center of Photography where he teaches and lectures on issues in contemporary photography.
