We at the Griffin care about your health and safety.
As our guests we want you to experience the creativity the museum has on its walls as safely as possible. Following the guidelines of the CDC, State of Massachusetts and the Town of Winchester, we have policies and protocols in place so your visit to the museum is a safe and healthy one.
While we recommend purchasing your tickets before your visit, tickets are available at our reception desk.
The Town of Winchester has moved to a mask advisory. We strongly suggest masks be worn while in the museum during your visit. Our staff will continue to be masked for their safety, as well as our patrons.
We will require masks for public events such as receptions, artist talks and public gatherings until we feel it is safe to be at an advisory level.
The CDC guidelines are as follows.
A fully vaccinated person should wear a mask or face covering when indoors (and not in your own home) if you have a weakened immune system, if you are at increased risk for severe disease because of your age or an underlying medical condition, or if someone in your household has a weakened immune system and is at increased risk for severe disease or is unvaccinated.
Individuals who are not fully vaccinated should continue to wear a face covering or mask when indoors with others to help prevent spreading COVID-19. Individuals who have tested positive or are a close contact of someone with COVID-19 must follow the isolation and quarantine guidance which includes wearing a mask in public for 5 more days after leaving isolation or quarantine on Day 5, regardless of vaccination status.
When in the Museum
We ask our patrons to keep a safe distance from others not in their group, at a minimum of 6 feet.
We have cleaning protocols in place, including hand sanitizer in the museum galleries, at our reception desk and in our restrooms.
