Repose is the catalog for the Griffin Museum of Photography’s exhibition that was culled from the Arthur Griffin archives by curator Sally Reed. The exhibition is the first of 3 exhibitions that commemorate the 25th anniversary of the founding of the Griffin Museum of Photography.
“On a warm afternoon in the end of May, 1942, Arthur Griffin carried his camera as he strolled on Boston Common and made a series of tranquil photographs of Boston’s workers and residents while they were taking it easy on the city’s “front lawn.” – Sally Reed
