Rainy SilvestreRainy Silvestre (Matanzas, Cuba 1975). Moved to Miami, FL in 1998. Silvestre began his photographic journey as a self-taught photographer. He is currently participating in PHOTOALICANTE 2021 with a solo show about his project Little Havana, and has also participated in several group exhibitions.  His photography is a compendium of life and a direct relationship to his environment. Silvestre feels the bond between objects, spaces and human emotions is key to his craft. Attempting to show this connection is his main goal as an artist. Silvestre works primarily with photographic film as he discovered that it helps him slow the process down and provides him with an opportunity to be more thoughtful about his subjects.
