Cyanotype Workshop with Ron Cowie – 2 Saturday mornings in September

September 11, 2021 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

This six hour workshop is about discovery, light, and fun. Cyanotypes have been used for a variety of creative and industrial purposes because it simplicity of process and economy of materials. Using two chemicals in equal parts creates a light sensitive emulsion which is then coated on paper, or other material, exposed to UV light (the sun) and processed in a slightly acidic water bath. The resulting image is a delightful blue that should last at least 100 years.

This is a hands-on workshop. We will learn by doing and making with a little history thrown in for good measure.

All materials will be provided and you will have solution to experiment with in between classes.
