Workshop: Achieving Stunning Photographs Creatively Using Natural Light

October 19, 2019 @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm

$300.00 – $350.00

Join Argentinian nature photographer, teacher and documentary filmmaker Ossian Lindholm for an immersive workshop to learn and practice using natural light in your travel and nature photography. Ossian leads photo tours in South America and teaches photography courses throughout the year.

About the workshop: Many nature photographers view light as one of the most important features of an exceptional image. An everyday landscape with an exquisite light is often a more memorable photo than a breathtaking landscape without the benefit of interesting light! Yet, the more intriguing the light, the more challenging it may be to use it successfully in your photographs. The most interesting photos are often those in which the light conditions are the most complex, such as sunsets and twilight, cloudy, rainy, misty weather and more.

During the workshop, you will understand that the correct exposure is the cornerstone to achieve good photography. We will learn and practice the “Expose to the Right” (ETTR) technique that helps to get the most of the Dynamic Range of our camera. This knowledge will give you tools to achieve technically correct photographs to make big prints, fine art prints or photos for a book.

Ossian Lindholm is a renowned nature photographer from Tucuman, Argentina.  Trained as an Agronomist, many years ago he turned his deep passion for nature to photography.  In his work as a photographer, teacher and documentary filmmaker, he is dedicated to capturing, preserving, conserving, sharing and sustaining the landscape, nature and culture of Argentina in its most pristine state.
